Role Description If you are a BENEFITS professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! As the Director of Global Benefits, you will be a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive benefits strategy that aligns with our organization’s overall business objectives and values. You will lead the design of global programs, lead the design and management of U.S. programs, and provide consultation on local programs. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Total Rewards, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive initiatives that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. - Lead the design and delivery of global benefits programs that consider diverse employee needs across the globe including health and welfare, retirement, wellbeing, and leave. - Establish and maintain minimum global benefits standards. - Develop and lead a global wellbeing strategy. - Lead US benefits strategy, design, and activation. - Consult with business units on local benefits program design and execution. - Ensure benefits programs align with company values and support a diverse workforce. - Partner with peers and the VP, Total Reward to create and maintain a global total reward philosophy and strategy. - Utilize framework to drive consistency across business units. - Select and manage vendors for global and U.S. programs. - Analyze industry trends, claims trends, and employee needs to recommend adjustments to benefits programs as needed. - Lead communications efforts regarding benefits programs, design, and philosophy, translating complex benefits topics into easily understood terms for our employees. - This role will partner closely with regional Total Rewards partners to ensure an aligned approach for all business units and locations. - Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to benefits. Qualifications - Prior experience designing global benefits programs. - Prior experience designing and managing U.S. health, insurance, leave, and retirement programs. - Understanding of benefits regulations across different countries. - Proven experience mentoring & leading other employees. - Experience building a high performing team. - Experience with organizational change and implementation of new TR programs & processes. - Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data. - Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. - Outstanding organizational skills and a can-do demeanor that shows persistence despite obstacles and setbacks. - Willingness and flexibility to take on special projects in support of the broader HR agenda and strategy. - Ability to produce quality results in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment. - Maintains composure and efficiency in stressful situations. - Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite. - Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role. Requirements - Ten (10) years of progressive Total Rewards experience, including five (5) years of leadership experience. - Prior experience in a large global company and/or in benefits consulting. - Experience with Workday HCM. - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). - Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation is a plus.
