• Contributing to Client's product strategy and helping define the future of their merchant service. • Exploring complex, ambiguous problem spaces in partnership with the team to understand opportunities and chart a path forward. • Influencing the team's approach to product development, shaping both the organization and its processes. • Designing and running studies using a broad range of qualitative and quantitative methods — including interviews, contextual inquiry, diary studies, and survey design. • Using AI-powered tools to accelerate synthesis, pattern recognition, and the delivery of insights at scale. • Improving the experience of millions of Client's merchants every day.
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of demonstrable experience in UX research, product research, or a related field.
- Strong command of both qualitative and quantitative research methods (interviews, surveys, diary studies, contextual inquiry, etc.).
- Proven ability to independently define research questions, select methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings.
- Track record of product features and innovations that launched as a direct result of research contributions.
- Experience working with merchants, restaurants, or similar B2B audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong storytelling and ability to present complex findings simply.
- Active use of AI tools to support research workflows (synthesis, pattern recognition, insight delivery).
- Strategic thinking and strong ability to build cross-functional partnerships.
- Prior experience at a marketplace-based company.
- MA/MS or PhD in HCI, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Design, or a related field.
- Experience working across multiple audience types within a marketplace (Merchant + Consumer context).
