Role Description The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the Training Specialist V position within the Access and Eligibility Services (AES), Organizational and Leadership Learning (OLL) section within Strategic Engagement and Employee Success. Role Description The Records Analyst II performs complex (journey-level) records and information management work in DFPS’ Records Management Group (RMG) Division to protect, provide, and preserve the agency’s records. Work involves designing, evaluating, reviewing, recommending, implementing, updating, and maintaining DFPS’ records and information management program. The position works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Essential Job Functions - Provides assistance to internal and external customers on a variety of matters related to records and information management, including: - Developing and maintaining working relationships with program and administrative units to provide technical assistance on policies and procedures. - Verbal and written communication with internal and external customers on questions or concerns regarding records products and services, while also following agency guidance and observing any legal restrictions on information sharing. - Scans, stores, indexes, and classifies records. The Information Technology Support Specialist III duties include: - Software installations, troubleshooting/diagnosing complex hardware, software, and network performance problems. - Maintaining technical expertise on hardware, software, telephony, network configurations, or peripherals. - Monitoring call trends to identify and resolve continuing problems or unusual situations. - Participating in user acceptance testing prior to deployment of new hardware and software. - Communicating on a complex level with others to provide, exchange, or verify information. - Training automation support staff on supported systems. - Preparing and updating computer application programs (i.e. Helix templates). - Overseeing daily operations in the absence of Team Leads. - Performing other duties required to support and maintain operations. - Maintaining a regular and predictable work schedule. Qualifications - Knowledge of information systems/technology processes and procedures. - Knowledge of personal computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment. - Knowledge of current technical troubleshooting techniques. - Knowledge of customer service techniques. - Knowledge of call center/help desk environment. - Knowledge of call-tracking software such as BMC HELIX. Requirements - At least 1 year experience performing IT troubleshooting in a technical (computer) environment. - At least 1 year customer service experience providing technical assistance to customers. - Experience troubleshooting IT systems and applications. - 2 years Call center experience preferred. - Experience using call-tracking software such as BMC HELIX or Service Now. Role Description This position works under the direct supervision of leadership in the Purchased Client Services Division. This position is responsible for examining and evaluating provider applications to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, and other requirements to provide foster care services to children in DFPS conservatorship in accordance with the Texas Child-Centered Care (T3C) System. Essential Job Functions: - Performs routine compliance reviews that are primarily small or medium in scale to determine compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. - Performs routine reviews of new applications and supporting documentation submitted by residential childcare providers to obtain Full credential(s) to provide foster care Service Packages. - Performs routine reviews of applications and documentation submitted by existing residential childcare providers to obtain Interim credential(s). - Performs routine reviews of applications and documentation submitted by existing residential childcare providers to obtain Re-credential(s). - Compiles, reviews, and analyzes data to verify documentation. - Conducts internal inspections of compliance issues. - Identifies issues regarding compliance with regulations or standards that require follow-up. - Verifies compliance with specific requirements by conducting desk and/or onsite reviews. - Maintains, updates, and assesses data in an internal tracking system. - Maintains and assesses documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes. - Performs statistical sampling of data. - Reviews contracts, grants, and other legal documents. - Performs compliance reviews that are primarily highly complex in nature or large in scale. - Performs related work as assigned. Qualifications - Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, finance, accounting, statistical analysis, research methodology or a related field is generally preferred. - A minimum of three years' experience in research, compliance analysis, legal analysis, and/or auditing work. - Experience must demonstrate the ability to independently analyze complex issues, interpret policies or regulations, and recommend corrective or process improvements. - Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis. Requirements - Must earn a CTCM within 18 months of hire and comply with all ongoing certification requirements.
