Commercial Insurance Analyst, Claims Insights

• Play a critical role in transforming data into decision‑ready insights that drive business performance, portfolio management, and risk outcomes • Responsible for performing complex analyses to inform data‑driven decisions • Identify trends, evaluate performance, and develop recommendations to address key business challenges • Combine insurance domain knowledge, analytical expertise, and technical skills to extract actionable insights • Collaborate with partners across Claims, Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, and Technology to define problems and deliver solutions • Drive alignment effectively communicating insights, conclusions, and recommended actions to senior leadership • Build strong relationships to support adoption and execution of insights • Contribute to building and enhancing data pipelines, reporting frameworks, and analytical standards • Help establish consistent metric definitions, governance, and scalable analytics practices • Support the development of AI‑enabled and automated analytics capabilities • Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior analysts
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of directly related analytical experience in a related industry required
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Superior research, statistical, analytical, data processing and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses
- Ability to make effective formal presentations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Visual Basic, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and various structured analysis and design techniques
- Knowledge of insurance, accounting and rate-making concepts
- Strong ability to independently solve technical challenges by leveraging online resources
- Demonstrated analytical agility and curiosity
- Passion for learning new things, with an interest in technology
- Ability to coach and mentor co-workers and give feedback as required by using effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Direct claims experience or analytical actuarial experience (preferred)

• Own HIPAA-compliant source-of-truth artifacts. Serve as the accountable owner for several Excel-based artifacts that govern Medicare claims business rules, edits, code sets, or requirements. • Maintain version control, change history, and documentation so these remain authoritative and audit-ready, and handle all content in accordance with HIPAA and CMS data-handling requirements. • Apply deep Medicare claims expertise.
