• Provide pre-order engineering support, including preliminary drawings, communication diagrams, sequences of operation, and bills of materials. • Collaborate with design engineering, mechanical, and production teams to develop innovative solutions for unique applications. • Review customer plans, specifications, and scope of work to ensure alignment with product offerings and completeness before hand-off to design engineering. • Offer technical input to product development teams regarding new products or enhancements to existing ones. • Assist in building a library of standard design details, tools, and CAD resources for repeatable applications. • Deliver technical training on IEM products and applications to internal teams and clients. • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, UL, IEEE) during product and order evaluations. • Provide ongoing technical consultation to internal sales and engineering teams.

• Provide accurate and complete designs in a timely manner while following standard company practices and procedures. • Responsible for final design and evaluating all codes and loads. • Assist sales and detailing departments within commercial, heavy industrial, conventional, and hybrid projects.

• Design of Analog and Mixed-Signal circuits, meeting their architectural requirements and technical specifications • Contribute to the architectural definition of the design, and also to chip integration • Perform the necessary calculations, design and verification simulations to ensure building blocks meet specifications, at the schematic level and after post layout extraction, while fully provisioning for DFT and DFM • Work closely with Layout Designers to ensure the layout is completed properly, using all best known methods • Document assigned blocks, and hold preliminary and final design reviews • Actively participate in the chip bring up, evaluation and characterization, with emphasis on owned blocks • Address questions and issues related to his/her blocks raised by cross-functional personnel, such as Product, Characterization, Test, or Application Engineers. • Drive other projects as needed by management or as business needs change.

Projects may include new construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial and science and technology. Here's What You'll Do - Perform and direct complex design of ductwork, piping and equipment selection for HVAC systems for large scale size buildings. - Able to work independently in all Mechanical disciplines with no oversight or guidance. - Assist with Plumbing and Fire Protection Designs as necessary. - Oversee, guide, mentor and provide technical leadership to designers and engineering team. - Direct the work of less experienced staff including the development and presentation of annual performance reviews. - Serve in the QAQC process and as an independent reviewer. - Work with Project Manager to establish and maintain realistic work, labor plans and deliverable schedules. - Interface effectively with clients and members of the design team. - Direct activities of the project team members. - Oversee the use of engineering complexities related to Energy Model software. - Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings of HVAC systems from schematic design to construction administration phases. - Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units. - Review and accept selective shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents. - Attend Owner, Architect, Construction Administration (OAC) meetings with an understanding and focus on the project budget. - Participate or lead value engineering sessions with Architectural/Engineering team. - Recommend improvements with reference standards and processes to improve quality, coordination, and streamline production efforts. - Conduct staff development activities including work planning, budget development, and scheduling in conjunction with the Project Manager. - Respond to RFI’s and review change orders in the preparation of construction documents. - Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. - Attend and participate in construction meetings; site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of the site. - Represent the company in project activities; direct activities of project team members; represent the company in business development and marketing activities. - May serve on internal and/or professional committees. - 80% project billable. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering required. - Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of related experience required. - Current PE in the United States preferred. - LEED accreditation is preferred. - Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes. - Ability to work independently in all mechanical disciplines with no oversight or guidance. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Must be a critical thinker. - Must be highly analytical. - Must have the ability to engage effectively with clients. - Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work. - Able to effectively handle multiple projects. - Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus) required.
