Energy Market Analyst
Powerline
• Bring real-world experience from electricity markets to enable customers to gain value out of the product suite. • Help shape how Powerline’s products analyse and optimise energy assets. • Work closely with traders, asset operators, and renewable developers to analyze market outcomes, evaluate trading and development strategies, and deliver recommendations. • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to help build the development roadmap. • Manage customers' experience throughout their lifecycle from pre-sales to technical account management.
Job Requirements
- Experience working in the Great Britain (NESO, EPEX, etc.) and/or other European Energy Markets;
- Strong understanding of power market fundamentals, including dispatch dynamics, bidding strategies, and revenue drivers for energy assets.
- Experience analysing large energy datasets and extracting insights that support trading, operational, or commercial decisions.
- Comfort working with data analysis using SQL, Python, or similar analytics tools.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex market insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical rigor.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

- Experience trading or optimizing battery storage assets or renewable portfolios.
- Experience building dashboards, automated reports, or market analytics tools.
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis.

• Advise audit and compliance engagements supporting DoD financial systems, including JTMS and related ERP or logistics platforms • Establish and enforce audit work standards consistent with GAGAS and federal audit requirements • Support Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) objectives and DoD auditability goals • Manage internal controls testing, documentation, remediation tracking, and risk assessments • Manage SOC-1 Type I and Type II audit support activities for service organization environments • Coordinate walkthroughs, control testing, and auditor inquiries • Validate control design and operating effectiveness • Ensure remediation plans are implemented and documented appropriately • Identify recurring audit themes and systemic control issues • Recommend enhancements to financial system controls, reporting processes, and governance structures
