Job Description

Full Stack Developer

Vaniam Group

Role Description As our Full Stack Developer, your goal is to help grow Vaniam Intelligence, a data platform that helps teams across oncology and hematology turn dense clinical and market information into something clear and genuinely useful. This role is ideal for someone who thrives across the full application stack, cares deeply about clean code and data integrity, and wants to build a strong technical foundation rather than dig out of a mess. A Day in the Life - Ship features end to end, from migrations and Eloquent models through to the interface a real person clicks on. - Build and maintain full application slices rather than handoff-shaped pieces of work. - Design clean relational schemas in MySQL or PostgreSQL, with an emphasis on performance, readability, and data integrity. - Write queries that are fast, maintainable, and grounded in a strong understanding of indexing and schema design. - Build thoughtful, well-documented RESTful APIs that support the front end and connect to the data sources users rely on. AI Integration - Use Laravel, modern PHP, and thoughtful framework conventions to keep the platform clean, readable, and scalable as AI-enabled capabilities are evaluated and integrated. - Support responsible AI integration by helping connect data sources, workflows, and user-facing features in ways that are accurate, maintainable, and useful. Internal Responsibility - Write tested, readable code that favors simplicity and maintainability, leaning on KISS and YAGNI principles. - Refactor when it earns its keep and leave the codebase a little better than you found it. - Participate in thoughtful code review, give useful feedback, and take feedback without ego. - Collaborate hand in hand with our external Laravel partner to maintain the quality of an already strong platform. Client Responsibility - Work closely with product and design partners to turn fuzzy ideas into features that actually ship. - Help Vaniam Intelligence continue to grow as a trusted platform for oncology and hematology teams. Qualifications - Roughly 5+ years of experience building and maintaining real web applications, with meaningful depth in Laravel and modern PHP. - Strong hands-on experience with Laravel, including Eloquent, migrations, queues, events, and testing tools. - Experience shipping full stack features from database and backend logic through to user-facing interfaces. - Comfort working with relational databases such as MySQL and/or PostgreSQL. Requirements - Strong understanding of schema design, indexing, and troubleshooting slow queries without relying first on a magic package. - Ability to build and maintain RESTful APIs that are clear, reliable, and well documented. - Comfortable front-end skills across HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern setups such as Blade, Livewire, Vue, or React. - A habit of writing tests without being asked, because they support speed, confidence, and quality. - Curious, candid, collaborative approach, including asking useful questions and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical partners. Benefits - 100% remote environment with opportunities for local meet-ups. - Positive, diverse, and supportive culture. - Passionate about serving clients focused on Cancer and Blood diseases. - Investment in you with opportunities for professional growth and personal development through Vaniam Group University. - Health benefits – medical, dental, vision. - Generous parental leave benefit. - Focused on your financial future with a 401(k) Plan and company match. - Flexible Time Off policy for rest and relaxation. - Volunteer Time Off for community involvement. - Emphasis on Personal Wellness. - Virtual workout classes. - Discounts on tickets, events, hotels, child care, groceries, etc. - Employee Assistance Programs. - Salary offers are based upon several factors including experience, education, skills, training, demonstrated qualifications, location, and organizational need. The range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000.
