Quality Manager – Construction Materials Testing

• Lead and coordinate construction materials testing projects from initiation through completion. • Ensure timely completion of projects, in accordance with established scope, schedule, and budget. • Oversee laboratory and field-testing operations. • Manage client relationships and ensure compliance with industry standards. • Support the professional development of your team. • Serve as the Project Owner’s Onsite CSA Quality Manager. • Act as the primary liaison between the client and contractors, clearly communicating project expectations and requirements. • Oversee quality control and quality assurance practices from the contractor and third-party testing agencies related to project scope. • Perform CSA related inspections as the Owner’s Representative. • Review inspection and testing reports to verify compliance with applicable codes and specifications. • Organize and lead regular project meetings to ensure alignment of expectations, performance, and deliverables. • Maintain project quality health tracking dashboard. • Provide weekly correspondence to the client outlining project progress and significant quality events. • Secure appropriate resources for all project phases to ensure timely and successful completion. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and productive work environment. • Foster and maintain strong client relationships to support future business opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or a related area preferred.
- A minimum of five years of project experience within an applicable field or discipline with increasing responsibility.
- Proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations through project management activities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
- A high-level of organization, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- A deep understanding of Construction Quality Management and Industry standard construction practices.
- Excellent client service orientation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Solid interpersonal and decision-making skills and the ability to generate innovative and effective solutions to complex problems.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
