Role Description The Associate Regional Account Director (ARAD), Oncology is focused on driving key account strategy and unlocking growth opportunities for our select products of our Oncology portfolio in their area’s IDNs, hospitals, and large, complex community accounts. The ARAD will identify key customer issues & opportunities, build account plans and execute those plans via a coordinated cross-functional approach. The ARAD will provide support to key accounts for clinical, operational and financial aspects of our products. The goal is to be perceived as a partner of choice by our customers. The span of coverage will be the Greater Northeast. Travel up to 50% within the territory. The candidate must be domiciled within the territory and preferably within the Greater Northeast area as that is the center of the territory. Key Tasks and Responsibilities - Building & maintaining relationships with key account stakeholders (C- and D- level); - Conducting business reviews (QBRs); - Leveraging data tools to identify growth opportunities; - Developing, implementing, and measuring cross-functional account plans that unlock growth opportunities for the products they are responsible for monitoring product pathway status and ensuring appropriate positioning; - Emphasis between these activities may be adapted to the area’s customer team’s specific needs; - Unlock product growth opportunities in accordance with product labeling and company policies; - Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders at selected accounts for long-term mutual success and conduct business reviews with relevant stakeholders and support accounts on Clinical, Financial and Operational topics related to Bayer’s product portfolio; - Attend relevant conferences, conventions and trade shows to meet customers and stay up to date relevant topics; - Identify and prioritize key account opportunities by analyzing and synthesizing information from multiple sources (e.g. market research, performance history, customer investigation, and Area customer team knowledge) and sharing insights with the account team; - Collaborate with the cross-functional team to build and implement account solutions and action plans; - Mobilize Area customer team (Sales Consultant, Field Reimbursement, Nurse Educators, Medical Affairs, Regional Marketing) and HQ teams where appropriate, to implement key actions from account plan; - Set account key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned to organizational and brand priorities, monitoring achievement of goals and updating the account plan accordingly; - Build and maintain appropriate relationships with relevant 3rd parties (e.g. GPOs, Diagnostic companies, industry & trade groups); - Facilitate a high level of collaboration across functions, reinforcing the value of bringing diverse perspectives to develop solutions to meet customer needs. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree; - 5+ years of pharma and/or other healthcare-related experience; - 3+ years prior experience in a customer-facing Oncology commercial role; - Demonstrated skills in business planning, including account planning, problem solving, contracting, and analytics; - Demonstrated cross-functional influence, communication, and conflict resolution skills; - Deep understanding of customer channels and market dynamics across Oncology; - Experience in budget management; - Proficient in Power Point and Excel; - Valid driver’s license with a clean record; - Business travel by air and car required up to 50%; some weekends required. Sourcing - Oversee the direction of existing API accounts with the goal of maximizing prevailing relationships to expand market/wallet share versus pre-assigned revenue quota. - Work closely with the Research & Sourcing teams to provide all details of a destination to ensure a seamless approach to sourcing the destination. - Assist with the sourcing of destinations by initiating the RFP process and being sensitive to supplier relationships. - Total responsibility for ensuring RFP results are documented in the customer destination presentation in an accurate, detail-oriented manner. - Ensure the presentation meets the needs of the client, demonstrates a level of savings, and meets the revenue goals of API. - Strategic planning and organizing to maximize API revenue and client savings goals, including sourcing timelines for expiring contracts and contract renewals. Site Inspections - Conduct hotel site inspections domestically and internationally when required with customers ensuring each property meets client criteria. Contracting - Execute hotel contract negotiations on behalf of the Airline, contract renewals, and addendums. - Keen ability to negotiate mutually beneficial contract terms and conditions. - Monitor market conditions in each serviced destination to ensure the best rates, amenities, and contract terms are maintained throughout the hotel contract. - Conduct risk management for each destination the client services to proactively manage any potential risks to the contract. - Proactively pursue and maintain the best hotel relationships where the client has contracted. Day to Day Account Management - Work closely with the sales team to ensure client needs are met and share leads uncovered by communication with hotels and airlines. CrewCare - Manage crew member feedback via our online portal for all assigned accounts ensuring any complaints are addressed in a timely fashion. - Add new hotels to the system and ensure all information is accurate. Delete inactive hotels. HotelExpress - Ensure negotiated rates for Crew, Business and Leisure Travel are loaded and maintained properly on HotelExpress for clients. ACES - Verify all hotel contract information is loaded properly into ACES for OPS and for Accounting. - Review ACES schedules monthly to ensure hotels are downloading their schedules. - Assist OPS department with follow-up with the hotels about the schedules. - Verify client backup list is accurate and loaded into ACES for OPS. CRM - Ensure all revenue opportunities are in the CRM with accurate business start dates. - Ensure all hotel/airline and API commission contracts are loaded, executed, and attached to the CRM. - Maintain all flight information. - Fully understand the client’s business and ensure all deliverables are being met for a successful relationship. - Strive to create increased value for the client by providing new points of view and recommendations aligned with desired business goals. - Work closely with the Business Development team to ensure a smooth client transition from contract signing to implementation. - Independently lead and make decisions that properly balance the needs of the client and API. - Manage all client communications ranging from weekly performance meetings to business reviews. - Own internal communications to the cross-functional team on client performance, strategies, and needs. - Become knowledgeable in all API technology platforms to ensure clients are aligned with appropriate software solutions.
