AVP, Contract Surety Manager – Central Region

Minor Hotels Europe and Americas

• Directly responsible and accountable for the marketing and underwriting of the Surety portfolio for the Allianz Trade North America Surety team. • Developing and executing a strategic business plan in order to expand our business in the United States, mainly in the Central Region. • Developing and underwriting a profitable portfolio of Surety business through active engagement in the Surety marketplace with existing and new broker relationships. • Documenting of all decisions and recommendations in a consistent and transparent manner. • Establishing and maintaining key relationships while building out a regional underwriting team. • Conducting account and portfolio underwriting activities in a manner consistent with underwriting guidelines and portfolio management requirements established by the company. • Collaborating with colleagues across the Americas and internationally to fully leverage surety capabilities and existing customer base. • Coordinating with Surety teams globally to ensure alignment on risk and underwriting issues. • Actively participating in industry groups, and local surety events.

Job Requirements

  • College degree with emphasis in business, economics, or finance.
  • 7 years+ experience in industry experience.
  • Entrepreneurial skill set to establish and achieve goals and objectives.
  • Established track record developing business with brokers.
  • Proven ability to underwrite and grow a Surety portfolio.
  • Experience in the development and management of marketing plans, business plans and budgets.
  • Knowledge of Surety distribution channels and experience in managing relationships with regional brokers.
  • Recognized expertise in the underwriting of surety accounts and risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, service driven environment
