Role Description As a Regional Manager, you will thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, leading your sales team to achieve their highest potential while meeting their sales goals. Working closely with your Sales Representatives, you will strategically plan and direct selling activities to drive their success. You will be instrumental in hiring, training, and developing top-tier talent, ensuring they are equipped to excel. Partnering with the Director of Sales, you will develop and execute strategies to maximize regional sales opportunities and consistently exceed sales targets. In this role, you will remain deeply committed to Stryker’s mission, finding purpose in our innovative products and their transformative impact on healthcare. Responsibilities - Team Management: Oversee sales activity and productivity standards, territory management, schedules, and time management for the sales team. - Training & Development: Recruit, hire, train, and develop sales professionals. Conduct quarterly sales training sessions and individual performance reviews. - Performance Monitoring: Review and analyze sales data and commission reports. Manage the target pipeline lists and ensure alignment with sales goals. - Strategic Communication: Establish monthly meetings with the Area VP Sales to discuss regional goals and status. Initiate strategic communication with Sales leadership. - Reporting: Submit quarterly reports to the Area VP Sales. Regularly communicate with Marketing Directors and Corporate Accounts on strategic selling situations. - Team Environment: Foster a healthy competitive team environment and be involved in top Target Accounts and competitive situations. - Accessibility: Be accessible to provide daily troubleshooting and strategic discussions with sales team members. Conduct individual meetings for updates and support. - Reinforce Stryker Corporate Sales philosophy and culture statement. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is required. - Experience: Minimum of 10 years in sales with a proven history of success. - Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in sales field concepts, practices, and procedures. - Skills: Strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in developing and implementing sales programs. - Leadership: Proven experience in formal leadership roles or in leading teams and projects in various settings strongly preferred. Requirements - Base/Draw + commission: $150,000 and may be eligible to earn commission and/or bonuses + benefits. Qualifications - 4–6+ years of experience negotiating SaaS, software, technology, and hardware agreements across both government and commercial environments. - Demonstrated experience managing federal, state, and local government contracts. - Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and competitive RFP responses. - Experience supporting GSA Schedules and Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) programs, including pricing structures, compliance requirements, and modification processes, as well as SAM.gov registration and entity management. - Experience implementing or administering a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform. - Experience working with Salesforce and modern contracting technologies. - Outstanding contract drafting, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. - Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. - Ability to balance legal risk with practical business objectives. - Proven ability to manage multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Education - Bachelor's degree required. - Juris Doctor (JD) or Paralegal certification is a plus but not required.
