SDET – Software Development Engineer in Test

Crisis Prevention Institute

• Develop automated software solutions that validate defined usability, maintainability, scalability, and reliability requirements. • Take ownership of assigned work, monitor, and maintain the health of solutions generated. • Increase operating efficiency and adapt to new requirements. • Author small and well-defined automated programming solutions. • Code, test, and debug programs as outlined by a system’s technical and functional requirements. • Create and maintain automated integration tests, performance tests, load tests, and document testing procedures. • Provide task breakdowns, identify dependencies, and provide effort estimates. • Identify software issues and communicate problems with the team. • Provide an automated solution where value in manual tests has been identified • Demonstrated ability to facilitate evaluation of technologies and achieve consensus on technical standards and solutions among a diverse group of information technology professionals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field highly preferred or equivalent business experience
  • Two years or more of work experience in the technology industry
  • Two years or more of work experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience working with all core software development activities, including requirements gathering, design, construction, and testing.
  • Expertise and knowledge of formal SDLC models and methodologies, including Lean, Agile, or Scrum
  • WebDriver and other types of automation.
  • Experience working with application interface design, modeling, and implementation
  • Knowledge and understanding of RESTful APIs
  • Experience working in agile and/or iterative project management methodology
  • Experience working in Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platform

Use this knowledge to contribute to process modification and/or the resolution of customer support inquiries. - Assist manager to coordinate with IT teams to create, test, and release new functionality, prevent incidents, and troubleshoot issues. - Provide administration and management of internal databases. - Prepare pretest items and perform pretest rotations as needed to maintain bank health. - Analyze assigned item bank and identify item development targets for content experts.
