Safety Manager
Acrisure
• Oversee construction site safety activities across multiple active projects operating under an OCIP program • Travel between assigned construction sites to conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and compliance reviews • Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, OCIP requirements, and project-specific safety standards • Identify safety hazards and partner with contractors to implement timely corrective actions • Conduct daily safety reviews of work in progress and verify compliance with established safety procedures • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports, inspection findings, and compliance documentation • Investigate incidents, near misses, and recordable injuries while supporting corrective action and incident prevention efforts • Participate in project meetings and provide safety guidance, recommendations, and compliance updates • Support OSHA inspections and regulatory interactions as required • Verify completion of required safety training, including new hire orientation and ongoing tailgate meetings • Lead safety stand-downs and reinforce safe work practices following incidents or significant safety events • Promote continuous improvement through coaching, education, and proactive risk management initiatives • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of heavy construction safety experience required
- Certified Hazardous Materials Safety Technician (CHST) certification required
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety practices, and regulatory compliance required
- Experience supporting or managing Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP) highly beneficial
- Experience conducting construction site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations required
- Ability to travel regularly between active construction project sites required
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with contractors, project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Ability to manage multiple active construction projects and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting documentation required
