Role Description REMOTE Medicare Insurance Specialist SHIFT: Monday - Friday between hours of 8am - 5:30 EST, with some weekends. Responsible for enrolling Medicare Members telephonically into the Medicare plan and for providing superior telephonic sales service for prospective Medicare members. - Educate prospective/current members on Medicare products, benefits, enrollment rules and next steps in a clear and compliant manner. - Conduct telephonic sales presentations and enrollments in accordance with CMS requirements, state regulations and internal compliance standards. - Assess customer needs, answer questions accurately and recommend appropriate plan options based on eligibility and coverage requirements. - Document all member interactions, enrollment activity and follow up actions accurately in departmental systems and required platforms. - Maintain current knowledge of Medicare products, benefits, promotional campaigns, scripts, systems, and policy updates. - Support a positive customer experience by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, active listening and timely follow through. - Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management and operational teams to identify member concerns, process issues and improvement opportunities. - Meet established productivity, quality, compliance and customer service expectations. - Perform other duties and special projects as directed, assigned, or required. Qualifications - Current Health Insurance license required - any state; NY appointment required or must be obtained within 30 days of offer and maintained as a condition of continued employment in the role. - Must have Health Insurance License, preferably in NY. - Medicare Advantage Plan knowledge and experience administering AHIP. - At least 1 year of previous industry related experience in the area of marketing, sales or client services preferred. - Familiarity with operation including claim, customer service billing and enrollment preferred. - 2 – 3+ years of sales, telesales or call center or customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or Medicare. - Additional years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. - Working knowledge of Medicare products, CMS regulations, enrollment guidelines, compliant sales practices. - Strong communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal); ability to explain complex information in a clear, customer friendly manner to all audiences. - Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of calls while maintaining accuracy, professionalism and service quality. - Proficiency with MS Office and experience working in automated systems, CRM platforms or enrollment tools. - Strong organizational, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive member information appropriately. - Bilingual skills, Spanish (Preferred).
