• Lead the fullstack Switchboard team responsible for GitLab Dedicated’s customer-facing control panel, and set clear direction for how the team delivers and evolves that product. There is a strong coordination with the assigned Product Manager. • Hire and develop a high-performing team where team members can thrive and produce results with quality and speed. • Partner with Technical Team Leads to provide direction and act as final decision-maker and unblocker of the team to move forward fast. • Partner closely with Product and Design on the customer-facing control panel, including wireframes and UI direction for external users. • Own planning with the Product Manager, including priorities, dependencies, and the quarterly delivery epic. • Ensure fast, high quality and cross-functional execution across frontend, backend, UX, product, and technical writing. • Drive improvements in quality, security, and performance. • Support the team’s mission of enabling GitLab Dedicated customers to manage their tenant environments while reducing manual operations on the large scale Dedicated fleet.

Job Requirements

  • Proven track record building and owning large-scale distributed services, with the technical depth to dive into architecture and guide the team on technical strategy
  • Experience in driving operational excellence and you've owned services running at four-nines (99.99%) SLOs and know what it takes to keep them there
  • Experience leveraging AI tooling to boost team productivity, with real lessons learned from both wins and missteps
  • A history of building and managing high-performing, accountable team cultures, including managing out when necessary
  • Comfort driving complex projects to completion without relying on a dedicated TPM
  • Experience leading distributed and remote teams effectively
