We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and results-driven **Accounting Manager** to join our finance team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), company policies, and applicable regulations. You will lead a team of accounting professionals while collaborating with senior leadership to support financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, extensive accounting knowledge, excellent analytical abilities, and experience managing financial operations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities * Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations. * Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. * Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and supporting schedules. * Ensure compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. * Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff through coaching, performance evaluations, and ongoing training. * Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions for accuracy and completeness. * Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests. * Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. * Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in collaboration with department leaders. * Monitor cash flow, operating expenses, and financial performance, providing recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. * Analyze financial data, identify trends, and prepare management reports with actionable insights. * Oversee tax-related activities by coordinating with internal teams and external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings. * Manage ERP and accounting systems, ensuring data integrity and continuous process improvements. * Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Procurement, and Executive Leadership on financial initiatives and business planning. * Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes, policies, and reporting procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is preferred. * Minimum of **5 years** of progressive accounting experience, including **2 or more years** in a supervisory or management role. * Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. * Experience with ERP and accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, or Sage. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling, and data analysis. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities. * Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy. Preferred Qualifications * CPA, CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or MBA is highly desirable. * Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting. * Knowledge of SOX compliance, audit procedures, and financial risk management. * Experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau. * Familiarity with payroll systems and tax compliance. * Experience leading accounting teams in multi-entity or multi-location organizations. * Strong leadership, project management, and change management skills.
