Director, External Reporting, Technical Accounting
Barnes Aerospace
• Lead the preparation and review of the Company’s quarterly and annual external reporting package • Serve as subject matter expert on complex U.S. GAAP accounting matters • Research, analyze and document technical accounting conclusions • Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and related disclosure requirements • Provide accounting guidance for acquisitions, divestitures, financings, contracts, and other non-routine transactions • Present technical accounting matters, reporting updates, and key judgments to senior leadership and external auditors
Job Requirements
- BS degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation/Advanced Degree preferred
- 10+ years of US GAAP accounting experience
- Experience with consolidation and reporting systems (Oracle and Workiva preferred)
- Experience preparing or reviewing external filing documents
- Experience leading the research and documentation of complex technical accounting matters or other non-routine transactions
- Ability to interact effectively with senior leadership, external auditors, legal and cross-functional business partners
- Ability for travel to support business initiatives as needed
