Job Description Role Purpose: The Production Payroll Manager will manage end-to-end production payroll for Mexico and support payroll across Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil. This role partners with production teams, HR, Finance, Legal, Labor Relations, and payroll vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll. The candidate must be based in Mexico, bilingual in English and Spanish, and strongly familiar with Mexico labor laws and payroll compliance; LATAM payroll knowledge and Portuguese are a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Manage Mexico production payroll and support union and non-union payroll activities across Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil - Validate timekeeping, earnings, deductions, overtime, allowances, union payments, statutory payments, and production pay elements - Ensure compliance with Mexico labor law, local payroll regulations, statutory benefits, tax, social security, union agreements, and company policies - Support union and non-union employee payroll activities across LATAM, including regular pay, variable pay, allowances, benefits deductions, off-cycle payments, payroll adjustments, termination payments and severance calculations - Partner with HR and Finance to validate employee changes, new hires, transfers, compensation updates, leaves, and separations impacting LATAM payroll - Coordinate with 3rd party vendors and internal partners on payroll calculations, filings, reporting, audits, and issue resolution - Maintain payroll data integrity, documentation, controls, confidentiality, and compliance with policies and local legal requirements - Research payroll discrepancies, identify root causes, and partner with stakeholders to resolve issues quickly - Support testing, integrations, vendor changes, process improvements, and production readiness - Ad Hoc responsibilities Qualifications Basic Requirements: - Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, including Mexico payroll; production, entertainment, media, or high-volume payroll experience preferred - Strong familiarity with Mexico labor laws and payroll compliance, including statutory benefits, tax, social security, wage and hour rules, union agreements, and severance - Working knowledge of payroll practices in Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil preferred - Experience with payroll vendors, timekeeping systems, ADP or similar platforms, audits, reporting, and controls - Bilingual Spanish/intermediate English required; Portuguese a plus - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; payroll certification or local payroll compliance training a plus Additional Information As part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with an NBCUniversal employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision.
