Role Description The Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely recording of the Company's financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, tax legislation, and internal procedures. The role supports the Finance Department by maintaining reliable financial records, assisting in financial reporting, and contributing to the effective financial management of the Company. - Records and maintains the Company's accounting transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal procedures. - Processes accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring their accuracy and timely execution. - Performs bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations. - Prepares and processes payments to suppliers, employees, and other third parties. - Issues customer invoices and monitors collections in cooperation with the relevant departments. - Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. - Supports the preparation and submission of tax declarations and statutory reports in accordance with applicable legislation. - Maintains accurate accounting records and ensures proper filing of financial documentation. - Assists in budget monitoring, cost analysis, and financial reporting activities. - Collaborates with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and public authorities when required. - Supports internal and external audits by providing the required financial information and documentation. - Ensures compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable tax and financial regulations. - Identifies opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal financial controls. - Performs other accounting and financial duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or General Management. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. - Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance position. - Good knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation, and financial reporting requirements. - Experience with ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. - Experience in construction, industrial, maritime, or project-based environments is considered an advantage. - Very good command of Greek and English languages. - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
