Key Responsibilities - Perform accessibility testing and remediation of electronic documents, websites, web applications, dashboards, and internally developed software to ensure compliance with Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA, and applicable Federal accessibility standards. - Evaluate Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), SharePoint content, Power BI dashboards, and web content for accessibility compliance. - Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing using industry-standard accessibility tools. - Identify accessibility issues and perform remediation or provide detailed remediation recommendations. - Validate remediation efforts and certify accessibility compliance prior to publication. - Support approximately 1,700 accessibility requests annually while meeting established service levels. - Collaborate with project teams to ensure accessibility requirements are incorporated throughout the software and content development lifecycle. - Review proposed technologies, digital products, and IT investments to ensure alignment with Section 508 requirements. - Assist business owners in resolving accessibility issues for customer-facing and internal applications. - Develop and maintain accessibility policies, procedures, standards, templates, and user guides. - Develop and deliver accessibility awareness and Section 508 training for employees and contractors. - Monitor accessibility trends and recommend improvements to organizational accessibility processes. - Prepare accessibility reports, metrics, dashboards, and responses to internal and external data calls. - Provide subject matter expertise on accessibility requirements, best practices, and emerging technologies. - Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance accessibility compliance across the organization.
