As part of Waymo's Legal team, you will work on the exciting legal issues surrounding our transformational autonomous driving technology and help drive our business lines forward from technology ideation through scaled commercial deployment. We partner with our public policy, safety, security and privacy experts to define transportation policy for the autonomous driving world to come, advising on regulatory changes that support and protect our users around the world. We collaborate with our engineering, product, strategy and operations teams to develop and protect our intellectual property portfolio and drive our corporate and commercial transactions. We enable compliance with an increasingly complex and dynamic range of global regulations. And we anticipate, mitigate, and litigate high-profile and precedent-setting legal matters. This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Lead, External Reporting You will: - Work independently in an assigned area of external data reporting to autonomous vehicle regulators - Intake new or updated regulations focused on regulatory reporting, and work with Legal, Product, Engineering, and TPgM teams to establish policies and procedures to operationalize requirements for Waymo’s operations - Act as a subject matter expert to support cross functional teams that are implementing compliance controls and tooling to support reporting - Assist in the management, collection, quality controls, submission, and tooling development for reportable data across Waymo’s markets - Support ad hoc projects to respond to regulator requests for data - Analyze and communicate identified trends, gaps, predictions, and opportunities for process improvement You have: - At least 4 years experience working on an external data reporting program, preferably at a safety-focused, highly-regulated organization - Strong experience working with regulations and regulatory bodies in the APAC Region - Exceptional attention to detail, both in written and verbal communication - Technical aptitude with ability to quickly learn proprietary software - Analytical background with the ability to source and analyze data, identify deficiencies or trends, and present facts or trends - Demonstrated project and program management skills while working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment We prefer: - Proficiency speaking and writing in Japanese, with the ability to prepare technical data reporting and interact with local partners and regulators - Experience working with autonomous vehicles, transportation, or ride hailing regulations - Experience managing external partners and third party vendors - Demonstrated ability to conceptualize turning repetitive tasks into scaled, automated workflows - Willingness and flexibility to work non-standard hours, as required, to collaborate with teams based in the APAC region Travel Requirements: - This individual may travel to the APAC region up to 4x per year, or approximately 10% of the time The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Role Description itD is seeking a Water Program Manager (Technical Program Manager – Level V) to lead strategic water and wastewater programs supporting a global data center infrastructure portfolio. This role is responsible for driving multi-year water program initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing utility partnerships, and overseeing water infrastructure projects that support sustainability and operational excellence.
