Role Description The Director of Grant Financial Management serves as the senior financial professional on the Regional Grants Management Team, reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development. The Director focuses on planning, directing, and evaluating budgeting, financial management, and business plan development related to grant activities that support the strategic plans of the UR Medicine and its Affiliates. - Mentor financial professionals in departments and Affiliates who are new to grant financing. - Collaborate with the Sr. Director on the selection and development of grant opportunities, loans, or other financial arrangements. - Lead the development of capital and operating budgets, budget justifications, and narratives. - Provide initial financial management support on grant awards until a dedicated financial manager is identified and/or trained. - Hire and manage a team of accountants supporting grants within the Regional Business Development Department. - Oversee quarterly and annual financial reporting on all grants in compliance with state and federal regulations and UR policies. - Collaborate with ORPA on auditing new financial partners and developing subcontracts. - Advise and support departments in budgeting of unfunded personnel costs, data management costs, publication costs, and other areas. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and 5 years relevant experience including at least 2 years at a managerial level required. - Master’s degree, equivalent course work, or specialized experience in an appropriate field related to the assignment is desirable. - CPA or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred. - 3-5 years of experience with grants management in an academic medical setting required. - Experience in financial accounting of both capital and operating grants preferred. - Experience with Workday, Axiom, HRSA Electronic Handbook preferred. - Experience in the UR IORA, Grants.gov, NYS SFS, and other grant submission portals required. - Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written and oral communication skills required. - Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively required. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities required. - Familiarity with MS Office suite, particularly Excel required. - Must achieve and maintain CLASP Certification within 1 year required. Role Description The Nurse Practitioner delivers annual risk assessment in a residential setting or telehealth, within the scope of practice for a Nurse Practitioner, as delegated by the Collaborative Physician. • Install, Turn–up, Test and Provision SONET, WDM and Ethernet equipment in an optical fiber network adhering to engineered design. • Splicing on new construction and restoration for a variety of cable types (Loose Tube, Ribbon, Micro, OPGW, etc). • Active splicing activity in cables with both dark fiber and lit services. • Conduct and validate all testing of network equipment to ensure adherence to all Zayo Fiber procedures and equipment manufacturer’s specifications. • Work with the Network Operations Center for final acceptance and testing of all newly installed equipment and rings. • Tests to include validation of all provisioning, all alarm monitoring to the NMS (Network Management System), network switch protection, etc. • Work with Fiber Optic, SONET, Ethernet and SDH related test equipment including OTDR, PMD, Optical Spectrum Analyzer, BER Test Sets, Sniffers. • Perform site survey of remote locations to ensure quality installation of all racks, equipment power plants, fiber cable, etc. • Report any and all defects to the Operations Manager and /or OSP Project Engineer. • Label and tag all equipment and cabling according to Network Engineering Diagrams. • Perform advanced analysis and troubleshooting of problems / issues while assisting the NOC/customer. • Participate in on-call rotation schedule for nights and weekends. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned. • Perform both hardware and software updates and/or changes to remote site equipment as necessary. • Complete and maintain hard copy and/or electronic records of work completed on various assignments. Including, but not limited to, splice diagrams, patch panels, and test results. • Interface with customers and carriers in support of service delivery and assurance. • Work independently for extended periods of time. • Respond to Customer Troubles on 24-hour basis. • Work closely with the NOC, Sales, Engineering, and customers.
