What You’ll Do: Learn the fundamentals of venture banking and credit underwriting by supporting the Banking and Credit teams on new and existing client relationships. Assist with financial analysis by spreading financial statements, reviewing borrower information, and helping draft sections of credit and deal memoranda. Collect and organize monthly financial reporting and supporting documentation from clients. Help review loan advance requests and support the credit approval process by ensuring materials are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies. Assist in testing financial covenants, updating borrower risk ratings, and identifying trends in borrower performance. Prepare borrower performance dashboards and reports used by senior team members and management. Maintain organized and up-to-date credit files, ensuring documentation meets internal standards and regulatory expectations. Review spreadsheets, Word documents, and legal agreements to confirm compliance with credit terms and assist in packaging materials for credit memo production. Work closely with team members across banking, credit, and compliance, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative venture banking environment. What Do You Need? Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, BBA, or equivalent) from an accredited four-year college or university. Recent graduates and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply. Internship, academic, or personal experience in venture capital, startups, innovation, fintech, or related fields is preferred. Exposure to or strong interest in the venture capital and innovation ecosystem, including startups and growth-stage companies. Basic understanding of financial statements and an interest in developing financial analysis and modeling skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and analyze spreadsheets, documents, and data accurately. Clear written communication skills and the ability to organize information effectively. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a team-oriented approach. Intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow in a credit and venture banking role. Technology Skills Strong Excel skills, including reviewing and analyzing spreadsheets.
