• Schedule, execute and control unique lean manufacturing projects with customers and internal stakeholders using Mission Control and Microsoft Project scheduling tools. • Read, understand, and execute projects to the specifications and scope defined in the contract documents and the AEH Quality Management System (QMS). • Strong, responsible leadership of internal teams and external vendors with positive, concise communication including kickoff and hyper-care meetings with documented agendas and meeting minutes. • Identify, document, and control engineering submittal approvals, change orders, risks, and opportunities per the QMS. • Validate ongoing availability of materials and resources to meet production schedules and delivery commitments. • Monitor and control the projects to resolve material shortages and uphold the contracted schedules. • Identify, document and control costs and expenditure schedules to authorize and execute the projects within the project budget.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Scheduler
  • Microsoft Office experience required, with excellent Excel skills
  • Microsoft Project scheduling experience required; Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher desired
  • PMP or CAPM Certification desired
  • Green Belt (or higher) lean Six-Sigma certification desired

A Project Manager 1 (PM) is responsible for managing all activities related to delivering a customer “turnkey” project. Here’s what you’ll do: - Coordinate and run the project kick-off meetings for both internal and external parties at launch of new project - Understand and manage the scope of the work - Creates and maintains project timelines, issues, milestones & technical gates - Participate and lead in project Gates as necessary - Enter and maintain budgeted costs and actual costs in the Job Cost Module within the ERP system - Issue purchase requisitions for sub-contracted products and services. - Orders long lead time items early, align lead + shipping times and project gates - Manage indirect resources both internal and external, to meet deliverables and timelines accordingly - Schedule and attend meetings with the customer to review progress as needed to assure customer satisfaction. - Maintain project – tracking reports - Utilize Project Planning and Operations ERP tools - Track and align scheduled equipment and material deliveries - Participate in creating proposals and Gate A approval meetings as needed - Keep projects within scope of work, on schedule, and on budget - Drive open items and impasses to a resolution - Obtain proof of delivery from internal departments - Supports quoting, early concept development and related cost/time estimates - Interface between off site team(s) and customer during integration, installations and final commissioning - Inform teams in a timely manner of scheduling or engineering changes and other new or updated information - Lead regular meetings both internally and externally to keep teams closely aligned from project kick off through completion - Build long lasting customer relationships while conveying important timing plans, critical path tasks, and ensuring customer satisfaction - Qualified to work with ITAR data - Deliver an amazing product experience thru great project planning and execution that instills a trust in our customers, and an eagerness to work with us again - Other duties as required Do you qualify? - BS degree in an engineering discipline is preferred; equivalent project management work related experience may be considered. - 2 - 4 years of Project Management experience in a related industry desired - Experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent Project Management software. - Experience with Wrike, SAP, or Salesforce is helpful. - Able to read and understand engineering drawings. - Experience with automation systems used in automotive, aerospace, or medical manufacturing industries preferred.
