Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer
Minor Hotels Europe and Americas
• Work on one of the world's largest social media platforms dealing with petabytes of data daily • Obtain tasks from the project lead or Team Lead (TL), prepare functional and design specifications, and approve them with all stakeholders • Provide estimations, agree on task duration with the manager and contribute to project plan of assigned area • Update and optimize local and metadata models and be responsible for resolving crisis situations within his/her AOR • Understand the business drivers and analytical use-cases and translate these to data products • Initiate and conduct code reviews, create code standards, conventions, and guidelines • Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Kubernetes/DevOps Engineer
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and batch schedulers (e.g., Volcano, Kueue)
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, containerization, and cloud-native architectures
- Hands-on experience managing workloads on Kubernetes clusters such as AWS EKS
- Proven track record working on infrastructure migrations
- Proficiency in Python and Golang
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm)
- Background in observability and monitoring for GPU clusters (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
