Job Description
Biomedical Technician Apprentice
GE HealthCare
• Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, perform repair and planned maintenance on basic biomedical equipment. • Follow appropriate GEHC policies, procedures, hospital protocol and complete necessary documentation. • Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up. • Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule. • Ensure proper care of spares, tools and test equipment and ensure calibration.
Job Requirements
- AS, BS degree, military education, certificate program, current student with less than 12 months from completion OR High School Diploma/GED with 6 months experience servicing electronic, IT or mechanical equipment.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Experience in customer facing role(s).
- Knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.

Seal Technician
MD&AA full-service, OEM-alternative for services, parts, and repairs for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, & Generators.
• Responsible for the installation of steam turbine packing and seals. • Precision measurements of existing packing rings and seals in order to manufacture replacement parts. • Removal of existing seals from turbine steam path. • Installation of new packing rings, spills strips, associated springs, and hardware. • On site machining of replacement seals to achieve design clearances (trimming butt gaps, hook adjustments, teeth adjustments, etc.). • Creation of daily log report / final installation data. • Upkeep and maintenance of portable machine shops. • Train other personnel as needed. • Must be willing to work significant overtime during busy periods.

Retinal Imaging Technician

• Responsible for traveling throughout the assigned region to capture patients’ retinal images for additional diagnostic review and potential treatment recommendations • Capture retinal images of diabetic patients’ eyes using a non-mydriatic fundus camera or automatic digital camera • Educate and set appropriate patient expectations regarding the purpose and retinal screening process • Upload and transmit patient images and reports through an online portal during or immediately after each screening • Travel to screening locations, perform screening prep, and wrap-up duties as outlined • Collaborate with remote team members and management, as well as screening location staff • Work with members of staff on identifying process improvements; and perform other duties as assigned by management • Work with a variety of patients in a physician's office setting and their homes • Coordinate patient flow with medical staff at a variety of offices
