Senior Test Engineer – Automation

Dev.Pro

• Lead quality assurance across the full software development lifecycle • Analyze requirements and technical documentation to identify quality risks and define test coverage • Define and evolve QA strategy, automation approaches, quality gates, and release criteria • Partner with engineering and product teams to align requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality expectations • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for backend services, REST APIs, AI-related components, and system integrations • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and continuously expand automation coverage • Investigate defects, analyze failures, and support root cause analysis across distributed systems • Contribute to technical documentation, quality reporting, and continuous improvement of automation practices

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years in QA/SDET roles with end-to-end ownership of test automation and QA activities
  • Strong experience with backend and non-UI-focused test automation
  • Experience defining QA strategy, automation approaches, quality gates, and test coverage for complex systems
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Experience testing REST APIs, backend services, and complex system integrations
  • Experience designing automated test frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience testing distributed systems and microservices
  • Experience with Docker and containerized test environments
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify quality risks
  • Engineering mindset with strong ownership, a high degree of autonomy, and a proactive approach to test automation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional engineering teams
  • Upper-Intermediate+ English level
  • Experience testing AI/LLM-based applications (Desirable)
  • Keen interest in AI technologies and a solid understanding of AI and LLM fundamentals (Desirable)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Azure/AWS (Desirable)
