Physician Scheduler

• Become a subject matter expert in QGenda software to optimize its use and functionality. • Coordinate daily and long-term physician scheduling for designated practices. • Manage requests and swaps submitted by radiologists in a timely and organized manner. • Ensure appropriate skill sets and coverage are available to meet daily service requirements. • Update and maintain scheduling rules to maximize automation and efficiency. • Maintain a repository of scheduling rules for consistency and continuity. • Provide schedule access to all relevant internal and external stakeholders. • Manage additions and removals of radiologists from schedules as staffing changes occur. • Communicate schedule changes promptly and clearly to radiologists and clients. • Conduct training sessions and develop communications to ensure effective use of QGenda for scheduling, shift coverage, conference attendance, and duty assignments. • Generate reports to ensure equitable distribution of shifts and responsibilities among radiologists. • Provide regular and responsive communication regarding scheduling matters, changes, and updates. • Prepare monthly reporting for each physician, including shifts worked, shifts off, extra shifts, additional compensation, and comp day accruals, as well as ad hoc reports as needed. • Collaborate regularly with practice management to align on staffing needs, operational changes, and long-term goals. • Produce monthly payroll reports to support accurate physician compensation.
Job Requirements
- Experience with QGenda scheduling software preferred (training available if not experienced).
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage both proactive and responsive communications.
- Confident computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a demanding office or administrative setting.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in physician schedule management.
- Prior background or experience working in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.
