Strategic Account Manager

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive adoption of the Alarm.com for Business platform and accelerate commercial revenue growth. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within corporate and partner organizations. • Collaborate with dealers and partners to identify opportunities, position solutions, and support sales efforts throughout the customer lifecycle. • Deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to partners, customers, and industry stakeholders. • Educate and enable dealers on the value and differentiation of Alarm.com's commercial solutions to drive market penetration and business growth. • Partner closely with Commercial Sales leadership and cross-functional teams to coordinate sales initiatives, support partner success, and execute go-to-market strategies. • Serve as a trusted advisor to partners, providing insights on industry trends, emerging technologies, and business opportunities. • Represent Alarm.com at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings to promote brand awareness and strengthen industry relationships. • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Sales Support, and Operations teams to deliver an exceptional partner and customer experience. • Provide mentorship, guidance, and best-practice sharing to junior sales professionals and internal teams to support overall commercial sales success.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in business development, strategic account management, and revenue growth within the commercial security, technology, or related industries.
  • Experience with commercial security solutions, including access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, or related technologies.
  • Proven ability to develop new business opportunities while expanding and strengthening existing customer and partner relationships.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to communicate value, influence decision-makers, and position solution-based offerings.
  • Experience presenting to customers, partners, and executive-level stakeholders, including delivering product demonstrations and training.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, projects, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term business relationships.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute across functions.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn and effectively communicate new technologies and solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently as required to support partners, customers, and business objectives.
  • Experience selling SaaS, subscription-based, recurring revenue, or managed service offerings is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience preferred.

Role Description We're looking for a technically minded Account Manager who can build long-term customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor on hydraulic solutions. This is a fully remote position with regional travel to customer sites throughout the Southeast United States. - Develop and manage relationships with OEMs and distribution partners to grow sales of hydraulic motors, steering systems, and integrated hydraulic solutions. - Provide technical guidance to customers, recommending the best hydraulic solutions for their applications and system requirements. - Partner with engineering to support new product development and ensure solutions align with customer and market needs. - Apply a consultative sales approach to identify performance, efficiency, and cost-saving opportunities for customers. - Deliver technical product presentations, demonstrations, and training to customers and distribution partners. - Manage customer activity, sales pipeline, and forecasts through the CRM. - Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements while supporting revenue and profitability objectives. - Monitor industry trends, competitive products, and emerging hydraulic technologies to identify growth opportunities. - Collaborate with customer service, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure successful order execution and customer satisfaction. Qualifications - 5+ years of Account Management, Technical Sales, or Business Development experience within hydraulics, fluid power, or mobile equipment. - Strong understanding of hydraulic motors, steering systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, or related hydraulic products. - Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, operations leaders, purchasing teams, and executive stakeholders. - Experience managing OEM and distribution accounts. - Strong consultative selling, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. - Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, or similar systems. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required with relevant industry experience. - Willingness to travel approximately 50% throughout the Southeast.
