Role Description We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Corporate Counsel to join our Legal team based in our Plymouth, MN office on a hybrid schedule. This position is responsible for providing broad-based corporate legal support to Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions and managing routine and complex legal, transactional, and insurance regulatory matters. Some of the Senior Corporate Counsel responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Providing broad-based legal and compliance support to Intact’s U.S. corporate functions and business units. - Supporting mergers and acquisitions and related activities, including due diligence, drafting transaction documents, effecting closings, and cross-functional coordination. - Deepening and expanding Intact’s distribution partnerships by negotiating and advising on broker, agency, program, and MGA agreements. - Providing legal advice on strategic, cross-functional, and cross-border projects, including those involving investment structures, insurance licensing, and service agreements. - Assisting in developing, implementing and continually improving processes and procedures to enhance scalability, operational efficiency, and business alignment across the organization. - Deploying strong and mature legal judgment, interpersonal skills, and influence to build effective working relationships with legal and business colleagues at all levels. - Demonstrating strong analytical, decision making, problem solving, and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
