Role Description We are seeking a highly experienced Lead SAP Consultant (FICO FI) to head the design, configuration, and delivery of SAP S/4HANA Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) solutions. In this role, you will drive end-to-end electronic invoicing implementations tailored to country-specific statutory requirements, provide technical leadership to consulting teams, and act as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders in delivering compliant, scalable, and well-governed financial systems. - Lead the design, configuration, and customization of SAP S/4HANA Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) to deliver end-to-end electronic invoicing solutions aligned with country/region-specific statutory requirements. - Define and govern country-specific DRC configuration standards, including the Compliance Reporting Framework, company code assignments, and activation of business functions. - Oversee the setup of eDocument types and mappings, ensuring architectural consistency across statutory electronic document processing. - Architect output determination and message control strategies to enable seamless, scalable document flow. - Establish standards and best practices for maintaining XML schemas and format mappings to ensure full compliance with regulatory formats. - Define integration architecture and communication arrangements via SAP Cloud Integration with tax authorities and government platforms. - Partner with senior business stakeholders and finance leadership to shape strategy, translate complex financial requirements into robust system solutions, and align on delivery roadmaps. - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and championing opportunities to optimize processes and solution quality. - Set direction on SAP Finance best practices, ensuring implementations remain current, sustainable, and aligned with the enterprise architecture. - Establish documentation standards and review deliverables to ensure system configurations and processes are captured to a high level of quality. - Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, orchestrating successful sign-off with minimal defects. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to consultants, fostering knowledge sharing and capability growth within the team. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience as an SAP Consultant with a strong focus on FICO/FI, including a proven track record of leading full-cycle implementations. - Demonstrated leadership experience of over 1 year, including mentoring consultants and driving delivery across multiple workstreams or engagements. - In-depth knowledge of Parallel Accounting using the ledger-based approach. - Deep expertise in DRC functionality, including e-invoicing and local reporting configuration across multiple countries. - Advanced proficiency in SAP S/4HANA Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC), eDocument setup, and output determination. - Strong command of maintaining XML schemas, format mappings, and communication arrangements via SAP Cloud Integration. - Comprehensive understanding of statutory electronic invoicing requirements and integration with tax authority and government platforms. - Ability to design and deliver configurations that support accurate, auditable financial reporting at enterprise scale. - Solid grasp of SAP Finance best practices and end-to-end implementation lifecycles, with the ability to set direction and standards. - Proven skill in producing and reviewing comprehensive technical and functional documentation. - Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior business and IT leaders. - Flexibility to lead cross-functional teams and manage deliverables within agreed project timelines and quality expectations. - Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level).
