As a writer and communications professional, you will: - Produce compelling benefits curriculum for our clients – and ultimately serve the employees who are facing real-world benefits decisions - Read and understand business documents, and write user-friendly content in response - Prepare benefit guides, voiceover scripts, articles, and other employee-facing content - Understand and help evolve our industry’s best practices to create work that is clear, relevant, timely, and efficient - Work in both Office documents, including Word and PowerPoint; various Aon content and web tools; and Adobe applications such as Adobe InCopy or even InDesign. - Work with short turnaround times to prepare crisp and concise presentations, text, and even infographics - Prioritize tasks based on deadline proximity and client need, working with a tight group of other communicators, designers, and consultants How this opportunity is different A competitive total rewards package and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization. Skills and experience that will lead to success - 1-3 years of “consumer-facing” writing experience, ideally in a healthcare, policy or science setting, but other areas are welcome - Experience delivering accurate, timely and engaging messages - Project-related experience and effective interpersonal and time management skills - Proficiency in Microsoft office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required, as is basic online and social media competency. - Excellent command of the English language, expert proof-reading and editorial skills, and an eye for detail and layout - Proficiency with other publishing software such as Adobe InDesign is a plus, as is experience in information analysis and visualization. There are opportunities to advance design skills in this role if desired. - Strong understanding of graphic design or marketing is a plus - Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud, design, event planning, event management, budgeting, budget management, and guest service. Education - Bachelor’s Degree with major in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, or a related degree preferred, but open to other majors and experience. A portfolio with writing samples is required to be uploaded or linked. Pay Transparency The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000-$75,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
