As our Canberra team continues to grow, we're looking for a Civil Engineer with 1–5 years' experience to join our Roads & Highways team. Whether you've already gained experience in transport infrastructure or have a broader civil engineering background, this is an opportunity to work alongside industry-leading engineers on projects that make a real difference to communities across the ACT and beyond. You'll join a collaborative and supportive team delivering a diverse range of transport and civil infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll contribute to projects from planning and concept design through to detailed design and construction support, while developing your technical skills and building your consulting career. How you'll make a difference - Assist in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure and transport projects. - Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports and technical documentation. - Work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes. - Support projects through planning, design and construction phases. - Develop strong relationships with colleagues, clients and project stakeholders. - Continue building your technical capability through mentoring and on-the-job learning. - Contribute to innovative engineering solutions that improve communities. Qualifications The qualities that help you thrive The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered. - 1–5 years' experience in civil engineering, ideally within a consulting environment. - Experience or exposure to civil infrastructure, transport or land development projects. - An interest in developing a career within Roads & Highways. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - A Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent. - Working towards Chartered status (CPEng) is highly regarded.
