Commercial Analyst – Asset Management
Intersect Power
• As part of Intersect's Asset Management team, you'll help ensure our datacenter infrastructure projects remain commercially aligned throughout their lifecycle. • Support the commercial integrity of operating assets by analyzing performance, maintaining critical documentation, and tracking the contractual and financial commitments that enable reliable operations. • Working alongside experienced Asset Managers, you'll develop an understanding of how technical agreements, commercial structures, markets, and asset economics come together to support long-term asset performance. • Analyze Commercial Performance • Support commercial performance analysis and reporting for assigned assets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery. • Prepare commercial summaries, financial reporting, and performance tracking that support informed business decisions. • Develop a working understanding of how datacenter infrastructure assets generate revenue, incur costs, and create long-term value. • Manage Commercial Obligations • Maintain trackers for commercial obligations, performance metrics, notices, compliance deadlines, and key contractual terms across equipment supply, EPC, O&M, interconnection, warranty, and master service agreements. • Maintain documentation, lifecycle records, and decision history for commercial commitments throughout asset operations. • Identify and escalate potential contractual issues, performance concerns, or compliance risks to the appropriate commercial owner. • Support Cross-Functional Execution • Support implementation of commercial processes, reporting workflows, and Asset Management systems. • Coordinate deliverables across Development, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and other internal stakeholders. • Assist with asset onboarding, operational transitions, and ongoing documentation management to support consistent execution. • Develop Financial & Commercial Knowledge • Build foundational knowledge of project financial models, including revenue assumptions, cost drivers, and key sensitivities. • Support forecasting, budgeting, invoice tracking, and variance analysis for assigned assets. • Develop an understanding of how project finance structures influence commercial responsibilities and operational decision-making.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related discipline.
- 0–3 years of experience in commercial analysis, finance, analytics, infrastructure, energy markets, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, reliable work.
- Ability to interpret financial models, commercial reports, and performance data with guidance.
- Experience maintaining structured documentation, trackers, and repeatable business processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to clean energy, infrastructure, datacenter infrastructure, or power markets is preferred.
