Role Description We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Special Education Teacher/Case Manager to join our team in a fully remote capacity for the upcoming school year. This position will primarily focus on special education case management responsibilities, including: - Ensuring compliance with IDEA requirements - Coordinating services - Facilitating meetings - Maintaining communication with families and school staff While the majority of the role is expected to center around case management, direct instruction and teaching responsibilities will also be included as needed. Please note that responsibilities may shift based on district needs between now and the start of the school year in late August. Candidates should be comfortable with flexibility and supporting students and staff in multiple capacities. Primary Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee special education caseloads in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations. - Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings and annual reviews. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records. - Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, administrators, and families to support student success. - Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned students and families. - Provide direct instruction and/or specially designed instruction as assigned. - Support the implementation of accommodations, modifications, and individualized educational programming. - Participate in virtual staff meetings, professional development, and team collaboration activities. Qualifications - Active South Dakota Special Education Teacher Certification (REQUIRED). - Certification must be active and in good standing prior to the start of employment. - Minimum of one year of experience in special education case management and/or instruction preferred. - Strong knowledge of IDEA regulations, IEP development, and special education compliance requirements. - Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with school teams. Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience providing virtual instruction or services. - Experience managing a large or diverse special education caseload. - Familiarity with online IEP management systems and virtual learning platforms. • Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance to students • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Travel occasionally for school functions • Develop compliant IEP’s and progress reports

• Modify and/or adapt the K12 curriculum in alignment with state content standards • Collaborate with general education teachers to meet goals of targeted students through individualized and small group sessions • Educate parents on various instructional strategies • Ensure implementation of RTI instructional system to increase student achievement • Oversee data collection and progress monitoring at every tier • Use data to help teachers plan instruction • Provide ongoing training and support to staff regarding RTI and data collection procedures

• Ensure all special education and related services are provided as determined by the IEP team • Communicating with parents and applicable related service staff to ensure that students with special needs are receiving the appropriate therapies • Developing compliant IEP’s, progress reports and other state specific required special education documentation • Facilitating and leading collaborative special education meetings such as annual IEP meetings • Using provided resources to ensure accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities • Collect data and work samples to monitor student progress towards Individual Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives • Document all contact with parents and interventions with students • Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment as needed • Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
