Role Description Insight Schools of California (a network of three public charter schools) delivers online/virtual home-based instruction to students in grades 9-12 in California. Insight Schools of California serves at-risk students. We use K12, inc. as our curriculum provider for the basis of instruction and teachers provide live instruction via the Engageli platform. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to maintain daily attendance, attend instructional sessions, and complete their coursework each day. - The Special Education Mentor trains and supervises education specialists in relation to schoolwide and special education programs, procedures, and policies. - The Sped Mentor monitors compliancy and supports the team in meeting deadlines and requirements. - The Sped Mentor also serves as a member of the Insight leadership team and works collaboratively with other leaders toward accomplishing school goals and promoting student achievement. Qualifications - Must live in California. - Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Mild/Moderate and/or Moderate/Severe Disabilities. - California English Learner Authorization, certification issued by the CTC to teach ELL students.
