Responsibilities include: - Develop novel methods and state of the art results: Contribute and research the state of the art in one or more of the target research topics, with close collaboration with staff scientists. - Integrate and utilize good software engineering practice, with an emphasis on high performance compute and quantum compute. Responsibilities range from deploying to multi-node compute, to deploying on state of the art superconducting, trapped ion or neutral atom hardware. - Publish in leading computer architecture conferences or physics journals such as ISCA, ASPLOS, MICRO, HPCA, PRX Quantum, Quantum and npj Quantum Information. - Communicate research in presentations to a wide range of audiences, ranging from high level talks to technical presentations engaging with topic experts. - Mentor, and closely collaborate with interns at PNNL, providing scientific and academic mentorship. Qualifications - Minimum Qualifications: - Candidates must have received a PhD within the past five years (60 months) or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university. - Preferred Qualifications: - Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related quantitative/scientific discipline. - Strong background within the topics listed as follows: - Quantum error correction theory, architecture and compilation. - Quantum resource estimation for fault tolerant architectures. - Benchmarking, verification and validation of QPUs at the algorithm and gate level. - Quantum algorithms development for domain and material science. - ZX Calculus for QEC, algorithms, and classical simulation of quantum circuits. Role Description - Fully conversant with the trial protocol, Case Report Forms (CRFs/eCRF), off-site manual (if applicable), supporting documents, procedures, and timelines to enable day to day running of the trial including all relevant SOPs. - Communicate effectively with the Illingworth research nurse project manager (RNPM), Research nurse manager, site staff and the Principal Investigator, to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of information. - Maintain accurate documentation including electronic transfer of data as per Illingworth SOPs throughout the trial, ensuring subject confidentiality, adhering to GCP and data protection requirements. - Attend Site Initiation Visits (SIV) as required and any other necessary meetings, including multi-disciplinary, project management and client-facing meetings. - Coordinate (working with the RN team) and complete subject trial visits on- and off-site. Ensure all trial related procedures and assessments are completed according to the protocol and relevant SOPs and that data is collected accurately. - Administer trial medication as per the protocol, and facilitate the safe storage, transfer, and accountability of trial medication in accordance with Illingworth SOPs. - Process and safely package and dispatch samples, liaising with courier companies and organizations in line with project requirements and supporting documents. - Assist in identifying potentially eligible patients for research projects and assist with patient recruitment into clinical trials providing information and support for those patients for on- and off-site care. - Ensure the accurate reporting of adverse events (AEs) and serious adverse events (SAEs)/suspected unexpected serious adverse reactions (SUSARs) to the site team and relevant RNPM, providing support for any additional follow-up that may be required. - Report any suspected misconduct or fraud to Illingworth and associated companies. Role Description We're looking for an Environmental Law Research intern (32 – 40h per week) in Spain to join our Sustainability Regulatory Advisory team for a six-month internship, starting in September 2026. The internship is paid, and we occasionally hire from our intern pool. The Sustainability Regulatory Advisory team is responsible for maintaining ECOFACT Policy Outlook, our industry-leading research service on sustainability regulation. The team also advises ECOFACT’s clients on a project and mandate basis.
