Sustainability Law Research Intern

Role Description We're looking for a Sustainability Law Research intern (32 – 40h per week) in Spain to join our ESG Regulatory Advisory team for a six-month internship, starting in September 2026 or earlier. The internship is paid, and we occasionally hire from our intern pool. The Sustainability Regulatory Advisory team is responsible for maintaining ECOFACT Policy Outlook, our industry-leading research service on sustainability regulation. The team also advises ECOFACT’s clients on a project and mandate basis. As a Sustainability Law Research Intern, you will: - Contribute to ECOFACT’s research on regulatory developments pertaining to sustainability, sustainable finance and corporate responsibility; - Support in regulatory content creation and monitoring under the ECOFACT Policy Outlook platform; - Be involved in the day-to-day activities of the Sustainability Regulatory Advisory team; - Contribute to other sustainability regulatory advisory projects and client deliverables on an ad hoc basis. Qualifications - Completed a Bachelor’s degree in law or international law; - Pursuing a Master’s degree in law, sustainability, corporate responsibility, sustainable finance, or a related field; - Full working proficiency in English (spoken and written); - Strong document drafting skills; - High attention to detail; - Interest in sustainable finance, human rights and environmental aspects, climate change, and corporate responsibility from a legal point of view; - Valid Spanish work permit; - The ability to sign an internship agreement with your center of studies. Requirements - Working proficiency in other languages; - Strong interpersonal and analytical skills; - The ability to self-organize and deliver high quality output within short deadlines.
