Full TimeRemoteTeam 51-200

Role Description Your week begins with your team—reviewing progress across member experience initiatives, recognition programs, volunteer engagement pathways, and digital engagement efforts. You are not simply checking status; you are listening for patterns, friction points, and opportunities to strengthen the system. Midweek, you shift into synthesis and strategy. You review engagement data, participation trends, and member feedback to understand how the experience portfolio is performing as a system. You may notice that mentoring participation is strong in one region but absent in another, or that recognition programs are driving engagement but not translating into long-term retention. Your role is to interpret what the data is signaling about the member experience as a whole. You spend significant time in collaboration with Learning & Development, Nursing Strategy & Leadership, Membership, and volunteer governance partners, ensuring alignment across learning pathways, leadership development, and member engagement strategy. You also stay close to the lived member experience. That means speaking directly with members, volunteers, and stakeholders, especially when experiences are not working as intended. You are as comfortable in listening sessions as you are in strategy discussions. By the end of the week, you are translating insight into direction: refining priorities, shaping portfolio decisions, and ensuring that the member experience is continuously improving, connected, and intentional across all channels. This is work for someone who thrives in complexity, builds structure where none exists, and sees member experience as a living system, not a set of programs. Qualifications - Seven or more years of progressive experience leading member engagement, volunteer engagement, professional development, constituent experience, or association management functions. - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience. - A master's degree and experience within a professional association, membership organization, or healthcare environment are meaningful pluses. - Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives that increase engagement, participation, retention, or overall constituent value. - Experience leading cross-functional projects and building collaborative partnerships across multiple departments and stakeholder groups. - Experience across multiple areas of member experience, such as recognition, awards, mentoring, volunteer engagement pathways, professional enrichment, or digital community platforms. - Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across diverse audiences. - Experience managing professional staff, including coaching, performance management, and team development. - Experience leading member experience, recognition, volunteer leadership, or community engagement portfolios is a strong plus. - Familiarity with CRM systems, engagement platforms, survey tools, and data reporting systems. - Experience managing budgets or revenue-generating programs is also valued. Requirements - Ability to lead a team through ambiguity and iterative improvement without losing momentum or clarity of direction. - Comfortable building in environments where not everything is defined yet. - Ability to create structure where little exists. - Ability to move fluidly between high-level strategy and lived member experience detail. - Patience and persistence that long-horizon portfolio work requires. Benefits - Strong health and retirement benefits. - Support for professional development. - Encouragement of open communication and collaboration across teams. Company Description Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (also known as Sigma Nursing or Sigma) is a global nursing organization with more than 100 years of impact.
