Job Requirements
- Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree and preferably also an advanced degree in chemistry or related field, as well as experience with small molecules
- Prior experience practicing patent law and proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others on complex matters.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and judgement are essential.
- Proven ability to independently manage a case and move it forward, but also to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Must be a self-starter, have the ability to prioritize workload; display good judgment and work well under pressure.
- Attorneys must be admitted to the Bar in the jurisdiction where the candidate is applying and must be in good standing.
- Must be registered and in good standing to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

This fully remote opportunity offers attorneys the ability to work on sophisticated commercial real estate finance transactions for lenders, borrowers, developers, investors, and financial institutions across the country. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience handling commercial real estate finance matters, including secured lending transactions, acquisition financing, development financing, loan originations, loan modifications, and related real estate finance matters. Key Responsibilities - Represent lenders, borrowers, developers, investors, and financial institutions in commercial real estate finance transactions. - Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents, including loan agreements, promissory notes, mortgages, deeds of trust, guaranties, and related financing documents. - Manage commercial real estate lending transactions from inception through closing. - Conduct and review due diligence, including title, survey, zoning, organizational, and borrower-related matters. - Review title commitments, title policies, surveys, and other real estate due diligence materials. - Coordinate transaction closings and post-closing matters. - Advise clients on commercial real estate finance issues and secured lending transactions. - Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, and other transaction participants to negotiate and resolve issues. - Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of client service and responsiveness.
