Role Description We are looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager based in India to drive enterprise business development and commercial growth for our digital Ocean Freight SaaS solutions (Rate, Quote, Book). - Target customers are Mid-to-Enterprise Freight Forwarders. - Looking for a sales professional from the capacity supply side—having worked within Ocean Carriers (Liners) or top-tier NVOCCs. - Ideal candidates have experience selling carrier space to freight forwarders and understand their procurement struggles. - Must have a network of forwarder accounts and experience with digitalization or system implementation projects. Key Responsibilities - SaaS Sales to Freight Forwarders: Drive revenue growth by identifying, prospecting, and acquiring mid-market and enterprise Freight Forwarders and NVOCCs for the Freightos platform. - Leverage Existing Network: Monetize established relationships with Freight Forwarders in India/APAC, gained from tenure at ocean carriers. - Consultative Solution Selling: Lead engagements focused on ocean freight digitalization and demonstrate how our solutions solve operational bottlenecks. - Digitalization Advocacy: Use experience in system rollouts to help forwarders understand the value of automation and change management. - Pipeline & Account Management: Manage complex, long-cycle enterprise sales processes and partner with internal teams for smooth onboarding and account expansion. - Market Insights: Provide feedback to Product and Operations teams regarding carrier-forwarder dynamics and keep the CRM updated. Qualifications - Minimum 12+ years of total logistics experience, with at least 5-8 years in commercial, sales, or trade management roles at an Ocean Carrier or major NVOCC. - Active, extensive network of Mid-to-Enterprise Freight Forwarders in India. - Proven track record of participating in or leading digitalization projects or system implementations. - Flawless understanding of ocean freight pricing structures, carrier contracts, and workflows. - Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing complex B2B sales cycles. - Strong verbal and written English communication skills. - Proficient in CRM systems like Salesforce, Zoho, etc. Requirements - Prior experience transitioning from traditional ocean freight into a logistics tech or SaaS sales role. - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
