Associate Portfolio Strategists leverage the extensive resources of our home office and external 3rd party partnerships to serve HNW with complex needs. The Portfolio Strategy team partners with financial advisors and clients to deliver the high-quality and actionable Advice, Planning, Products, and Services (APPS) required to meet our client’s wealth management needs. Through detailed analysis, the team develops and guides the implementation of customized investment solutions connecting goals outlined in client’s financial plan to portfolio strategy. What You Will Do: The Associate Portfolio Strategist is the investment specialist responsible for assisting with bringing the client’s financial plan to life through investments and ensuring alignment with the client’s goals and expectations. They will partner with the Senior Portfolio Strategist to design and implement investment strategies. Key Responsibilities include: - Partner with and support branch teams as a Home Office investment specialist to deliver the high-quality Advice, Planning, Products, and Services (APPS) required to meet our client’s wealth management needs. - In coordination with the Senior Portfolio Strategists and Senior Planners, provide the right level of support across the client journey based on the client’s needs and unique situation including aiding creation of tailored investment advice and strategies, portfolio analysis and construction, and implementation. - Support senior members of the Portfolio Strategy Team, Financial Advisors, and clients with basic to intermediate investment portfolio scenarios to enable delivery of more personalized, tax-efficient, and robust portfolio construction and portfolio transition advice (i.e., asset allocation, tax minimization, optimal investments, asset location), in alignment with firm advice and guidance. - Coordinate and/or contribute to consultations and content that meet the needs of our high-net-worth clients based on client objectives, risk profile, account mandates, and personal preferences. - Work in partnership with WMFM or HNW internal stakeholder groups to explore opportunities to enhance workflow processes and/or strengthen partnership dynamics. - Assist with branch team and client interactions identifying resources to achieve the right results. - Build and maintain an understanding of industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes and assess how these themes impact our product offerings, the implementation of firm advice and guidance, and the team’s ability to deliver the personalization sought by current and prospective clients. *This position is known internally as an Associate Portfolio Consultant Edward Jones’ compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Hiring Minimum: $86300 Hiring Maximum: $146700 What Experience You Need: - Bachelor’s degree required - FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses required within 6 months of hire - Intent to obtain Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or progress towards - 3+ years of experience in financial services or related field, 1-2 years of relevant portfolio management, portfolio analysis, and/or investment consultation preferred - Technical aptitude, analytical, and critical skills. - Subject matter expertise on economic, investment, and portfolio management strategies and concepts. - Skills in some of the following areas: systems thinking, planning and organizing, relationship building, collaboration, critical thinking, project management. - Solid written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to provide concise, relevant commentary.
