Role Description The Director, Practice Management, Strategy and Enablement plays a critical role in supporting financial planners as they build and lead successful practices. This role provides mentorship, resources, and tools to optimize planner workflows, elevate client experiences, and advance the strategic evolution of Practice Management across Edelman Financial Engines. This position also drives transformational leadership in client experience, supporting and enhancing client relationship management strategies across planners, Client Service Associates, and the Engagement Center—leveraging firm-wide capabilities to improve consistency, scale, and impact. - Drive the development and evolution of practice management strategy and implementation to help planners build successful practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to ensure alignment with training needs, software, systems, and tools used in Practice Management and client relationship management, with a specific focus on Salesforce and related platforms. - Partner with the Regional Directors & Advisors to develop business plans & action steps designed to achieve & surpass the KPIs. - Align practice management principles with overall firm objectives to enable seamless integration and improved strategic outcomes. - Lead organizational change efforts that improve planner adoption of new systems, processes, and client‑experience frameworks across Wealth Planning. - Build and deliver scalable, beneficial frameworks and processes for planning teams. - Utilize a consultative approach to deeply understand the needs of our planners, building trust and winning their hearts and minds. - Size, evaluate, and lead critical initiatives; report progress and insights to the cross‑functional leadership team. - Curate and develop retail go‑to‑market (GTM) strategy initiatives and materials. - Streamline planner activities, improve operational efficiency, and standardize best practices based on planner segment needs. - Build confidence and trust with the planner community through consistent partnership and enablement. - Develop and facilitate workshops, planner offsites, and enablement events that strengthen consistency, planner capability, and client‑experience outcomes. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree required. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, investments, or capital markets. - 5+ years of experience in coaching & developing Sales professionals. - Strong background evaluating complex business problems and opportunities and presenting concise recommendations to leadership. - Proven ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization. - Exceptional analytical skills and proven ability to lead through ambiguity. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). - Demonstrated success working under tight timeframes and in fast‑paced environments; experience with Agile development is preferred. - Ability to effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders. - CFP® Certification preferred. - Willingness to travel 25-50%. - Delivers compelling presentations and effectively commands an audience, inspiring confidence and action across planner and leadership groups.
