Role Description The Sourcing Contractor Team Lead serves as the single point of contact and people leader for a team of six sourcing and contracting professionals based in Guatemala or other suitable locations. This is a hands-on player-coach role that combines strategic sourcing execution, supplier negotiations, team leadership, business partnership, and operational excellence. This is not a traditional BPO or process-management role. We are seeking an experienced sourcing professional with strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and negotiation expertise who can personally lead strategic sourcing initiatives while developing team capabilities and driving measurable business value. The successful candidate will leverage spend intelligence, supplier insights, market data, and business context to improve sourcing strategies, negotiation outcomes, and operational effectiveness. This individual will serve as a trusted thought partner to sourcing leaders and be accountable for both team performance and commercial outcomes. Location: United States-based (Central or Mountain Time Zone preferred) - Other locations will be considered depending on Skillset and Capability. This role requires significant overlap with a Guatemala-based team and collaboration with U.S. stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Team Leadership & Capability Development - Lead, coach, and develop a team of six sourcing and contracting professionals. - Establish high standards for sourcing quality, commercial rigor, accountability, and customer service. - Drive a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and business partnership. - Provide guidance and escalation support across sourcing and contracting activities. - Drive performance management and capability development across the team. - Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Leadership - Personally lead strategic sourcing initiatives and complex supplier negotiations across Marketing, Professional Services, and Technology categories. - Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that optimize cost, quality, risk, and business outcomes. - Review and negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, SOWs, and supplier contracts. - Be accountable for the quality and effectiveness of negotiation outcomes across the team. - Identify and execute opportunities for savings, value creation, supplier optimization, and risk mitigation. - Business Intelligence & Operational Excellence - Leverage Thinksmart, ZIP, spend analytics, supplier intelligence, and market benchmarks to identify sourcing opportunities and negotiation leverage. - Analyze spend, supplier performance, sourcing activity, and operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities. - Translate data into actionable insights and sourcing recommendations. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction. - Ensure strong execution, SLA adherence, and accountability across the team. - Stakeholder & Strategic Partnership Influence - Serve as a trusted sourcing advisor to stakeholders and sourcing leadership. - Act as a thought partner on sourcing strategies, category opportunities, supplier management, negotiation tactics, and operational improvements. - Influence decisions through data, business rationale, and market insights. - Build strong supplier relationships while maintaining a disciplined, results-oriented negotiation approach. Qualifications - 7+ years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience. - Demonstrated experience leading complex strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations. - Strong commercial judgment with experience reviewing contracts, commercial terms, pricing models, and SOWs. - Proven track record of delivering savings, value creation, and favorable commercial outcomes. - Strong understanding of how sourcing decisions impact business and financial outcomes. - Ability to leverage internal data, supplier intelligence, and market insights to influence sourcing strategies. - Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable recommendations. - Experience leading teams, driving accountability, and improving performance. - Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on outcomes rather than process management. - Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. - Proactive, self-directed leader with a bias for action. • Define and own the KPIs for the App channel; report channel health to Commercial and Product leadership. • Own the app store rating/score as a KPI, along with review response rate and time-to-response — and ensure issues players raise in reviews are triaged, routed and resolved. • Act as KTO's main contact for Google and Apple, managing the platform relationships alongside Development and Product, including approvals, policy compliance and escalations. • Map the full mobile user journey and maintain a prioritised backlog of friction points and growth opportunities — handing clear, evidence-backed problems to Product, CRM and Marketing. • Partner with Product to influence (not own) the mobile roadmap, ensuring commercial and journey priorities are represented. • Work closely across CX, Special Cases, Tech, CRM and Commercial to connect player feedback, incidents and priorities into a coherent channel plan. • Work with CRM/Lifecycle to align in-app messaging, push notifications and loyalty mechanics (Clube KTO) with the channel strategy. • Partner with Marketing and Acquisition on install campaigns, ASO, attribution and the post-install experience. • Coordinate app release readiness: feature rollout, comms, store updates, and adoption tracking. • Use data (with the Data team) to find what's working, what's leaking, and where to invest next. • Champion a mobile-first standard across the business and raise the quality bar for anything that touches the app.
