• Senior Medical Affairs Scientists (Field) are experienced medical-scientific experts in the indication area of ATTR-CM (transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy) and with the drug tafamidis. • They provide external stakeholders and networks with the available medical-scientific knowledge. • Responsible for establishing and maintaining medical-scientific relationships with clinical and scientific experts in cardiology. • They also support relevant network structures and medical-scientific projects. • Senior Medical Affairs Scientists (Field) initiate and lead internal projects, contribute their medical-scientific expertise and specific experience, and support colleagues and other Medical Affairs Scientists in the ATTR-CM indication and in relation to tafamidis across functional boundaries.

• Provide theoretical and simulation support on the beam smoothing project. • Coordinate laser beam requirements, including picket and drive beam design and beam port design. • Support the roadmap, partnering with the diagnostics team and leading physics efforts. • Provide theoretical support for implementation in the DUED code. • Provide theoretical support for LPI science across LPI experiments and simulations. • Partner closely with the beam smoothing team, the laser and science teams working on beam requirements, the target design team, and the target physics team on LPI risk mitigation and imprint/hydrodynamic instabilities.

• Deliver customer training and coaching on Abbott diagnostic systems. • Support new instrument installations and assay implementations. • Investigate and resolve application and assay-related issues within customer laboratories. • Build strong relationships with Biomedical Scientists, Laboratory Managers and Pathologists. • Provide expert technical and clinical support to customers. • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. • Travel extensively throughout the UK to support customer sites.

• Provide customer assistance on detailed or complex questions regarding immunoassay platform • Present scientific seminars to prospects and assist with pre-sales opportunities • Attend, present and interact with customers at scientific meetings, conferences, and tradeshows • Provide feedback and updates to team members (including sales, marketing, and PM teams) • Serve as a subject matter expert for immunoassays • Collaborate with global FAS teams to train peers and synergize on resources • Empower scientists by training and supporting them on instrument use, assay development, and data analysis • Develop and nurture positive relationships with customers and internal teams in assigned territory • Support sales efforts through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and participation at vendor shows • Provide post-sales assay development and troubleshooting support for customers in-person, virtually, and via phone and email
