Field Applications Scientist, Immunoassay Specialist

Bio-Techne

• Provide customer assistance on detailed or complex questions regarding immunoassay platform • Present scientific seminars to prospects and assist with pre-sales opportunities • Attend, present and interact with customers at scientific meetings, conferences, and tradeshows • Provide feedback and updates to team members (including sales, marketing, and PM teams) • Serve as a subject matter expert for immunoassays • Collaborate with global FAS teams to train peers and synergize on resources • Empower scientists by training and supporting them on instrument use, assay development, and data analysis • Develop and nurture positive relationships with customers and internal teams in assigned territory • Support sales efforts through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and participation at vendor shows • Provide post-sales assay development and troubleshooting support for customers in-person, virtually, and via phone and email

Job Requirements

  • Minimum BS/BA degree in biochemistry, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, or a related life science field
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with immunoassays is required
  • Display a thorough understanding of the principles of immunoassays
  • Independently execute assay and reagent troubleshooting, optimization, and validation experiments
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and training styles
  • Substantial knowledge of current scientific literature and life science methods and applications
  • Proven record working efficiently both in a team environment and independently; previous experience providing Field Applications/Technical support is a plus
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
