The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Radiologist to read evening emergency department and inpatient work. The position opening is for expansion due to increased volume and is eligible for remote work. This evening position rotates 1 week on (7 days, 9-hour shift, 6p-3am) and 2 weeks off (inclusive of recovery, vacation, CME, academic), equating to 121 clinical shifts per year. 17 weeks of remote clinical evenings per year! Remote from anywhere in the USA except New Jersey, Hawaii, or Alaska. The evening radiologist will focus their clinical care exclusively at one of the Southeast’s busiest Level 1 trauma centers (Grady Memorial Hospital), providing interpretations in conjunction with trainees. The primary clinical scope will involve chest and abdominal imaging, with the option to read other emergency imaging exams if preferred. A separate evening neuroradiologist will be responsible for neuroradiology work. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills, function well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive emergency setting, and work collaboratively. Participation in both clinical and non-clinical divisional activities, including education and trainee supervision, is expected.
