• Analyze, document, organize, and publish policies, procedures and guidelines for internal operations divisions. • Lead facilitation work with internal and external customers to gain acceptance and consensus. • Support efforts to improve content taxonomies and content organization. • Stage and publish new and revised records on approval applications. • Secure cooperation of appropriate levels of authority. • Consult with local content owners to ensure standards, templates, and publishing protocol are followed. • Support content organization and standardization efforts that lead to improved search efficiency and improved usability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree AND five (5) year experience with corporate content management, knowledge management and policy and procedural research, writing and storage OR 10 years’ experience with corporate content management, knowledge management and policy and procedural research, writing and storage.
- Three (3) years’ learning and development experience in a corporate or business setting.
- Strong research skills including gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources (subject matter experts, project managers) to develop Web content, and possibly training materials and online help content.
- Experience with documenting software projects.
- Proven technical writing and editing skills.
- Proven ability to create creative, unique, and relevant online content for the web.
- Proven ability to be effective in a position requiring a high degree of self-direction, initiative, sound decision-making, good organizational skills and must be able to meet aggressive tight deadlines.

Title: IT Technical Writer Location: San Antonio TX US Job Summary Work collaboratively as part of a team of IT specialists and project managers in the Air Force Identity Assurance Branch, including support to the Air Force Public Key Infrastructure (AF PKI) Program. Develop and maintain technical documentation consisting of system descriptions, procedures, user guidance, position papers, and technical reports. Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or personnel. Support initiatives to identify, evaluate, and field identity assurance solutions for local, enterprise, and cloud based IT systems. This role includes preparing recurring Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) covering program tasks, progress, risks, and performance metrics, requiring a skilled communicator with experience in a Department of the Air Force (DAF) or Department of Defense (DoD) context.
