Job Description

Tax Analyst

CSI

• Play a key role in supporting CSI's tax compliance and reporting efforts across multiple tax disciplines • Help ensure accurate and timely tax filings • Contribute to research and compliance initiatives • Support the financial integrity of the organization • Prepare corporate income tax workpapers, extension calculations, and quarterly income tax estimates • Assist with year-end tax compliance activities and support various federal, state, and local tax filings • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, net profit tax returns, and other required tax filings • Research federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements • Assist with tax audits and responding to requests from governmental agencies • Reconcile tax-related accrual and balance sheet accounts • Identify opportunities related to tax credits, exemptions, and process improvements • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external agencies regarding tax matters • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Adobe, Workday, and Avalara to gather information, prepare filings, and support tax reporting activities

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant tax experience; two or more years preferred
  • Experience preparing U.S. corporate income tax workpapers and returns
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
  • CPA certification is a plus but not required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze, organize, and reconcile financial data
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong research skills and the ability to interpret tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • A team-oriented mindset, while also being comfortable working independently
  • Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new systems and processes
