Role Description The Director of Shared Services is a senior leadership role responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving a centralized shared services function across seven operating entities — five in the United States and two in Mexico. This individual will serve as the operational backbone for Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and cross-functional administrative services, leveraging a multi-ERP environment including NetSuite, Syteline (CloudSuite Industrial), Epicor, and Compaqí (CONTPAQi). The role will oversee the bank reconciliations and transaction recording, accounts payable, accounts receivable (including collections and credit validation), fixed assets, and inventory reconciliations across all Forgent entities. A critical mandate of this role is to serve as a key organizational lead for the enterprise-wide implementation of Coupa, driving procurement transformation, spend visibility, and process standardization across all entities. The Director will work in close partnership with the CAO, controller, COO, IT leadership, and entity General Managers to deliver scalable, cost-effective shared services that support business growth and operational excellence. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA, MBA, Accounting Master’s Degree or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred. - 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, or Shared Services leadership roles. - Demonstrated experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency operations. - Hands-on experience with various ERP Systems. - Proven experience as a key contributor or lead in software or controls implementation (SOX controls, employee expense modules, P2P, Sourcing, or Expenses modules). - Strong understanding of US GAAP, intercompany accounting, and consolidation principles. - Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence at all levels of the organization. - Strong excel skills. - Fluency in English required. Requirements - Design and implement a scalable shared services operating model covering Finance, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliations, and Reporting across all 7 entities. - Define and enforce service-level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and continuous improvement frameworks. - Partner with entity leaders to ensure alignment between centralized services and local business needs. - Build and lead a high-performing shared services team; manage hiring, development, and performance management. - Oversee day-to-day transactional operations across NetSuite, Syteline, Epicor, and Compaqí, ensuring data integrity, process compliance, and system utilization best practices. - Drive ERP rationalization efforts and identify opportunities to standardize processes across platforms where feasible. - Collaborate with IT to manage system upgrades, integrations, and issue resolution across all ERP environments. - Maintain robust intercompany reconciliation and consolidation processes across US and Mexican entities. - Serve as one of the primary business leads for the enterprise Coupa implementation, representing Shared Services in all workstream discussions. - Lead change management, user adoption, and training initiatives related to Coupa P2P, Sourcing, and Expense modules. - Define procurement policies and approval workflows within Coupa, aligned to entity-specific authority matrices. - Partner with the Coupa project team, systems integrator, and IT to ensure successful go-live and post-deployment optimization. - Establish Coupa governance standards, supplier onboarding protocols, and catalog management processes. - Ensure accurate and timely close processes across all entities, supporting consolidated reporting under US GAAP. - Oversee compliance with Mexican fiscal requirements including SAT e-invoicing (CFDI), tax declarations, and CONTPAQi statutory reporting. - Maintain internal controls, audit readiness, and SOX-aligned documentation for all shared services functions. - Manage intercompany transactions, transfer pricing documentation, and cross-border payment processing. - Identify and execute process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times, eliminate redundancy, and improve accuracy across shared functions. - Champion automation and digital transformation efforts in AP, AR, payroll, and reporting workflows. - Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all shared services activities. - Benchmark shared services performance against industry standards and implement best practices.
